We are now just passed that special time of year where everyone waits in nail-biting anticipation for the next years MET ball theme to be revealed alongside the big names hosting the extravagant event.
Next years theme was given the title: "Heavenly bodies: Fashion and the catholic imagination". Which when put in context refers to religion, underlining christianity. The unprecedented theme may spark some controversy as it is easy to see how it could be perceived as wrongly exclusive and outdated.
Taking over the host duties carried out last year by Katy Perry, Pharell Williams, Gisele Bundshen and Tom Brady, are three women of unquestionable glamour and talent: Rihanna, Amal Clooney and Donatella Versace who have been a strong, authoritative presence at the ball year after year.
